Tech will travel to El Paso to take on UTEP tomorrow night at 8PM. The game will be broadcasted on Stadium.

UTEP continues to really struggle at 8-18 overall and 3-11 in league play. ODU beat the Miners 82-33 Saturday night. They have lost 7 of 8.

Winning in El Paso in very difficult, but Tech has won two of its past three games inside the Don Haskins Center.

Tech beat UTEP 97-88 in Ruston back on January 6th. In the win, six Bulldogs scored in double-figures. Derric Jean had a team high 20 points, while Amorie Archibald had 15 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Isaiah Osborne had 25 for UTEP while Omega Harris had 21. The 25 for Osborne was a career high.

With Tech lacking size down low, I’m sure UTEP will try to use Matt Wilms in the post. The big 7-footer only played 16 minutes in Ruston due to foul trouble.

Paul Thomas has played well in the last two games averaging 12.5 pts and 8.5 rebs.

Freshman guard, Evan Gilyard, has begun to emerge lately. He is averaging 12 points per game in his last 4 games.

Tech will be looking for its 2nd road win of the season. Three games remain in the regular season. The ‘Dogs are two games back from 5th and one game back of 6th. UTSA is in 5th, Tech will play the Roadrunners in San Antonio Saturday night.
