J’Mar was dealing with an ankle injury against UTSA. Got some treatment at halftime, felt much better in 2nd half.
Collin Scott, Washington, Jackson, and Taylor are the 4 best LBs we’ve had since Holtz has been here, and it’s showing up every week. Three of the four have been in the program for four years.
Kept running it between tackles against UTSA to keep safeties coming down into box which helped open up the passing game.
UTEP has been much better last two weeks playing tight games against UTSA and NT. Had 430 yards of offense against NT with backup QB.
UTEP secondary is very experienced. We can’t take them for granted. We’ll find out how mature of a football team we have this week.
