Tech returns home tomorrow night against UTSA after a tough road trip at WKU & Marshall to begin conference play.

Tip is set for 6:30PM.

UTSA is currently 1-1 in conference play and 8-7 overall. They beat Rice by 13 to start conference play before falling to North Texas by 1 Saturday night. Steve Henson is in his second year as the head man at UTSA. In year one the Roadrunners won 14 games. He was a longtime assistant under Lon Krueger at Illinoi, UNLV, and Oklahoma.

Freshman G Jhivan Jackson can fill it up. He is averaging 17.2 points per game and shooting 42% from three. He’ll come off the bench, microwave scorer.

Freshman G Keaton Wallace is the only other Roadrunner averaging double-figures. He’s scoring 14.3 points per game but is only shooting 39% from the field.

They have only three seniors on the roster, but Austin Karrer is the only one in the rotation. He’s playing 21 minutes per night and scoring 3.5 points per game.

They are scoring nearly 86 points per game and are shooting 29 threes per game. It’s new age basketball at its finest. They are knocking down 11 threes per game.

They give up 77 points per game, so they struggle on the defensive end. They want to play a shootout which is what I would expect to see tomorrow night.

Tech badly needs a win, regardless of opponent.
