I figured we could step through some of the blocking woes from Saturday and compare it to PFF. Let’s take a look at the first three big plays to start.
On this play, Campbell has help on the left and does fine. Russey and Delfin get split causing the initial pressure and ultimately Hankinson’s guy gets the hit that leads to the interception. Call me crazy, but Hankinson may not control his man, but he does take him on a wide enough path to direct him 10 yards past the line of scrimmage before the defender comes back to the centerline of the formation. I don’t consider that a poor play by the RT. Luke doesn’t throw it until 4 seconds after the snap due to the initial pressure up the middle. Thoughts?
