Ok, but didn't Tech have a rivals site before? I want to say they had something in 1999 or 2000.

I must admit, I'm not sure. I've been working Rivals since 2003 and there was no Tech site in that time. Rivals was reincarnated in 2001, but there could have been a site before that with the old Rivals company. Perhaps some fans might want to chime in.

Rivals came online around 1999 or so. They wanted to do I-AA teams, too, and I started a Northwestern State site in '99 (they called me...I wrote for the Natchitoches Times at that time). Just not enough traffic to sustain it. I still have the three Rivals shirts they sent me.
