Skip said he was encouraged by USM averaging less than 2 yards per carry, 4 sacks, and 11 tackles for loss.
He liked how the offense performed when you talk about not allowing any sacks on 43 throws.
Said defense didn’t do a good job getting off the field on third down.
Need to hit Toussant deep. He got behind defense 4 or 5 times, couldn’t connect. Said only play call he would have changed was on last drive the deep ball Toussant, he wouldn’t have called it cause all he needed was 3.
Said the play in the redzone was bad scoring only 2 TDs in 5 trips. Then the defense allowed 2 TDs in 2 trips.
Said the kicking game was bad. A shanked punt gave up 7, and the missed chip shot FG from the 12.
Can’t overlook WKU this week even though they are 2-9. They have four, three point losses.
