There have been so many moving pieces throughout the spring, so I wanted to give an updated look at the depth chart.

Offense:

QB: Matthew Downing or Parker McNeil, Landry Lyddy, Andrew Brister

RB: Greg Garner, Harlan Dixon, Kevin Dominique or Marquis Crosby or Charvis Thornton or Keyon Henry-Brooks

Outside WR: Tre Harris, Cyrus Allen, Matthew McCallister

Inside WR/TE: Griffin Hebert or Ivan Thomas, Carson Rieder

Inside WR: Smoke Harris, Solomon Lewis, Tahj Magee

Outside WR: Praise Okorie, Julien Lewis

LT: Biron Rossell, Kenneth Bannister, Erron Bean

LG: Josh Mote, Jerren Gilbert, DeMarcus Gordon

C: Abraham Delfin, Ray Kelly, Landon Nelson

RG: Isaac Ellis, Bert Hale, Elijah Bowser

RT: Dakota White, Carson Bruno, Brett Canis

Injured: Devonta Lee, Kyle Maxwell

Notes:

- I think Garner would start at RB w/ Harlan Dixon behind him if the season started today. By September, Keyon Henry-Brooks will definitely be in the mix. He's trending in the right direction.

- I put Ivan Thomas at the "big slot" or TE spot, but he moves around a bunch. They'll stick him into the boundary at times.

- As you can see, outside WR other than Tre Harris is VERY inexperienced. I think Lewis and McCallister are both better than Okorie. That said, they are both young and I know a coach isn't going to be comfortable with 2 young walk-ons in the two-deep to start the year at outside WR. Kudos to them for taking advantage of reps this spring, though. They'll contribute in their careers.

- Rossell, Mote, Delfin, Ellis, White, Gilbert, Bruno, maybe Hale & Gordon are the OL that I'm comfortable with. I don't think Bean, Canis, Nelson or Bowser are close to contributing. I'm torn on Bannister, he'll flash at times.

Defense:

DE: DeShon Hall, Kershawn Fisher

DT: Keivie Rose, DJ Jackson, Dontrell Cobbs

DT: Rasheed Lyles or Nelson Mbanasor, Shaq Spears, Steven Shaw

DE: Mykol Clark or Joe Mason, Tristan Allen

LB: Tyler Grubbs, Allen Walker

LB: Maki Carabin or Hugh Davis

Nickel: Khiry Morrison or Cedric Woods (Depends on down & distance)

CB: Willie Roberts, Tyler Mansfield or Dallas Taylor-Cortez

CB: Myles Brooks, Cedric Woods, Mike Coats

S: Beejay Williamson, Christian Archangel, Carlos Dunovant

S: Jaiden Cole, Taz Marshall

Injured: Myles Mason, Brodrick Calhoun, J'Dan Burnett

Notes:

- DL depth took a hit when the Bell brothers decided to leave. Will need to stay healthy/add a piece or two.

- Carabin and Davis are in a fun battle for the starting LB spot next to Grubbs. I think both will play a good bit.

- Cedric Woods or Willie Roberts will be the nickel when Tech goes to 3 CB on the field. It's incredible, David Blackwell had me believing that it was against the rules to play 3 CB at one time. Brod Calhoun could be in this mix when he returns.

- Need Myles Mason healthy at S this fall.

Special Teams:

PK: Jacob Barnes

P: Austin McCready or Caleb Phillips or Arlind Bengu

KO: Caleb Phillips or Austin McCready

PR: Smoke Harris, Matthew McCallister

KR: Tons of Dudes, not sorted out just yet

DS: Griffin Armstrong, Noah White

Holder: Noah White

Notes:

- Punter is still wide open. Buck Buchanan arrives this summer. Patrick Rea will be here at some point from Australia as well.

- I've heard that Noah White might snap on punts, hold on field goals. That's odd, so we'll see. I know they don't want to mess with Barnes when it comes to changing the holder.

Thoughts? Questions? Did I miss anyone? Hit me up!!
