Been a plethora of changes to the depth chart since the spring, here is how I see it looking at the beginning of fall camp in August:
Offense:
QB: Austin Kendall (SR), Luke Anthony (SR) or Aaron Allen (SO) or JD Head (FR)
RB: Keyon Henry-Brooks (SO) or Marcus Williams (SR), Kevin Dominique (JR) or Greg Garner (JR) or Harlan Dixon (FR)
WR: Jawaun Johnson (JR) or Tre Harris (FR)
WR: Smoke Harris (SO), Tahj Magee (SO)
WR: Griffin Hebert (JR), Ivan Thomas (JR)
WR: Isaiah Graham (SR), Jerrod Means (SO)
H-Back: Jacob Adams (JR), Carson Rieder (FR)
LT: Christopher Fournier (SR), Dakota White (FR)
LG: Josh Mote (JR), DeMarcus Gordon (SO)
C: Abraham Delfin (JR), Ray Kelly (FR)
RG: Kellton Hollins (SR), Biron Rossell (SO)
RT: Sam Williams (SR), Walker Hankinson (FR)
Guys like Samuel Emilus (WR) & Solomon Lewis (WR) will have a chance to push their way to playing time.
Jawaun Johnson would move inside if Smoke went down, Tre Harris would step into a starting role outside. Those types of things are hard to explain on a depth chart.
On the OL: I think Fournier, White, Mote, Delfin, Hollins, Rossell, Williams, and Hankinson are the clear top 8. All those guys will be cross-trained on the interior. For instance, I would think Hollins is the true back-up center if Delfin went down.
Defense:
DE: Deshon Hall (SO), Mykol Clark (FR)
NT: DJ Jackson (SO) or Keivie Rose (FR)
DE: Levi Bell (JR), Tristan Allen (JR) or Rasheed Lyles (JR)
Viper: Eric Kendzior (SR) or Willie Baker (SR)
OLB/Nickel: Ezekiel Barnett (SR), Joren Dickey (JR)
ILB: Tyler Grubbs (FR), Maki Carabin (FR)
ILB: Trey Baldwin (SR), Kody Fulp (JR)
CB: Baylen Buchanan (SR), Cedric Woods (FR)
CB: Jacquez Payton (SR), Elijah Hamilton (SR)
S: Beejay Williamson (SO), Jaiden Cole (JR)
S: Myles Mason (JR) or Khalil Ladler (SR)
I give Payton the edge over Woods for the 2nd CB spot right now. He's experienced in the defense, has 32 career starts.
Mason and Ladler will both play a ton. Could always play 3 safeties.
There are some guys like Kershawn Fisher, Jamison Kelly, and Allen Walker that could have some specialized roles in certain situations.
Specialists:
K: Jacob Barnes (FR)
P: Cesar Barajas (SR)
KO: Cesar Barajas (SR)
DS: Reeves Blankenship (JR)
Holder: Noah White (SO)
PR: Smoke Harris (SO) or Samuel Emilus (JR)
KR: Marcus Williams (SR) or Harlan Dixon (FR) or Jawaun Johnson (JR) or Jerrod Means (SO) or Samuel Emilus (JR)
For now, I think Barnes is the kicker, and Barajas is the punter.
Thoughts?
