Postseason play, here we go.
Game Time: 4 PM on ESPN+
Dave Nitz will have the radio call on SportsTalk 97.7 FM.
Tech is 1-6 under Lane Burroughs in the C-USA tournament.
Pitching Probables:
RHP Ryan Jennings (5-3, 4.46) vs RHP Pepper Jones (0-2, 5.79)
Tech took 3 of 4 from UTSA in Ruston last weekend.
You know the story on UTSA, very good offensively. On the mound, if you can breathe they'll throw you out on the bump.
Top Offensive Performers:
1B Griffin Paxton -- .345, 7 HR, 41 RBI
SS Josh Lamb -- .335, 5 HR, 39 RBI
CF Dylan Rock -- .335, 8 HR, 38 RBI, 11 SB
C Nick Thornquist -- .331, 12 HR, 44 RBI
When they announce a starting pitcher, I'll have a bit on that guy.
They have a 5.91 team ERA, I think y'all mentioned that 768 times in the 4-game series last weekend. However, in a one game setting that means absolutely nothing.
They'll use a bunch of different dudes in short stints, which is normally very difficult, but Tech has seen all of those guys now, so that could possibly help in this scenario.
Big thing for Tech offensively will be working counts, taking walks, punishing mistakes. The Roadrunners pitching staff walked 27 guys over 4 games last weekend, make them throw strikes.
