From an outsider perspective, JBE has seemed to be a fine advocate for our university. I know he was just in Ruston for the Tech Point II ceremony, he has made appearances at football games, and it seems he has a good working relationship with Dr. Guice.
Rispone is the quintessential Baton Rouge insider. Every ounce in his control is going to be 110% pro-flagship LSU agenda, likely to the detriment of the UL system schools when push comes to shove.
I have been a lifelong Republican, and I was 100% behind Doc in the primary. I will begrudgingly pull the lever for Rispone, but this thought process on how his election might impact Tech weighs on me.
