If I’m Cumbie, I would make the following changes.
On Defense
I would get a proven DC. We are paying Power $230k. Plenty of guys available that’s proven.
Find 1 guy to coach corners and safeties.
Find a DT Coach that can teach fundamentals
Find a DE/Edge coach
I would retain Cortez Carter young energetic coach.
So a total of 4 coaches on Defense.
On Offense
I would hire OC that coaches QB’s so Cumbie can walk around and monitor his entire team during practice.
I would keep Teddy as he is a good recruiter and respected on the staff
I would replace Parr & Brown with Isaiah Graham coaching Outside WR and bring back Paul Turner to coach Inside WR. I would also make Paul Turner recruiting Coordinator.
I would keep Nathan Young to coach OLine.
Special Teams
I would keep Sharp and his salary.
Strength Coach
I would replace him as our team was the softest most injured 🤕 team in the country. Also one with a personality as Scholtz has the personality of a rock/boulder. Plus we are paying him a bunch of money upwards of $170k. There are plenty of guys available for much less.
