We had no answer to the UNT passing game, the defense was getting gassed, and our offense wasn’t getting traction. Skip put on the brakes to save the defense.
I also think he gave J’Mar plenty of opportunities in 3rd down situations to make a good play, and he made just enough to win. But it was by no means conservative.
My gripe was with the play calling in the red zone. The inside run didn’t work well and it was time to start hitting the perimeter.
Other coaches: McFarland deserves a raise. Those boys are playing as a complete unit.
