Colton Primm, LA Tech Senior Associate AD for Championship Resources, is leaving LA Tech for a job at Arkansas.

Primm will be the Senior Associate Director for Major Gifts and Capital Campaigns in Fayetteville.

Colton was a tremendous asset at LA Tech for a number of years and did a tremendous job. Great guy, great family. He will be missed by many.

Louisiana Tech will open its 2024 season at home against Northern Colorado this weekend.

All 4 games on SportsTalk 97.7 FM. No, there will not be any streaming all weekend. Yes, I know it’s 2024.

Tech is looking to bounce back from a 2023 campaign that saw them finish 28-31 overall.

Northern Colorado finished 11-34 last season under first-year HC Mike Anderson. Anderson is the former HC at Nebraska where he had TONS of success.

The Bears return all 9 starters in their lineup + their top 2-3 pitchers.

Will be interesting to see what they look like this weekend.

Whitesboro HS, TX C/O'25 3B/SS Bradi Gallaway has committed to play for LA Tech Softball. She is the younger sister of former Tech and CUSA Pitcher of the Year Preslee Gallaway. In 2023 Bradi was named Texas 3A All-State and the District 10-3A MVP. As a sophomore her team won 34 games and she led the team in batting average (0.582), hits (57), runs (63), doubles (15), RBI (38), and hit a school record 18 home runs (one of the top 41 homerun hitters nationally in HS softball).

I think she and Preslee are related to LA Tech Hall of Fame legendary softball coach Bill Gallaway.
