FOOTBALL PFF Player Grades | LA Tech vs New Mexico State

Takeaways:

- Marlion Jackson solid before injury
- Rossell w/ highest grade of his career
- Bachmeier solid, not spectacular. Two costly turnovers
- Eli Finley is the best TE on roster. I really believe that. Needs snaps.
- Will be interesting to see if DGT moves to CB in 2024. He has another year, and Richard has to play. I guess Richard could move to safety next to Roberson.
- Appears that Nason & Williams had a rough night inside. I’d assume most of that was in 2nd half

BASKETBALL CUSA Tipoff 2023 - 2024 Press Conference

Brooke Stoehr: Looking forward to the season. Have 10 players returning. Anna Larr is back, Salma Bates is back. Excited about our direction, have a very challenging non-conference schedule.

Anna Larr: Coach Stoehr is a role model for me. I feel like I have grown so close to her, and I use her as a tool for so many things in my life.

Stoehr: Not a lot of familiarity with the new teams in the league, makes us a stronger league. Looking forward to it. We don’t look at preseason rankings too much, but we see where the new teams are picked. They’ll be very competitive. Will be a wide ranging style of play. New look league, and we’ve gotten stronger.

Stoehr: Lotte shot it well, Keiunna could really score in a multitude of ways, Gabbie could shoot it too. This team we have this year will play through the paint. Probably more balanced on offense. Wurm & Thompson are coming along. Our 3’s will come from rhythm shots on kicks out of the paint.

Stoehr: We want to be battle tested in the non-conference. Texas could be a top 10 team. We’ll go to Arkansas, go to Vandy. Three P5 teams that have good history. Drake, Richmond, and Maine will challenge us at Thanksgiving. I want to see where we are at coming out of non-conference play. I love this group.

Liberty Football

Liberty is now no. 10 in the FBS G-5 Sagarin poll. They were no. 16 last week. They play MTSU tomorrow at home tomorrow and then on the road at WKU next Tuesday. If they win both of those games, depending on some losses by other teams ahead of them, they could move up to the top five.

The only other undefeated teams are Air Force and James Madison. James Madison is not eligible. Air Force has several tough games left on its schedule.

Liberty's schedule is weak but if they end up the only undefeated team, it might get the big bowl game. That would be a tremendous bonus for our conference in football and do not forget the basketball credits we kept from FAU's run in the NCAA basketball.

Of course I will cheer for our Dogs at Liberty on 11-4 but it will be a tough game for us.

We need something positive to talk about even if it is only conference potential monies that we share in.
