RHP Greg Martinez will get the start for the Diamond Dogs on Tuesday.

RHP JT Quinn will get the start for the Rebels on Tuesday. Quinn is a 6’6, 205-pounder out of Tampa, FL. He’s walked 6 in 6.1 IP in 2023.

SGA had a vote for a new $20 per quarter fee to build a parking garage on top of the lot by PIKE and Sigma Nu.

It turns out, students wanted parking fees not athletics fees! The model looks cool at least.

Okay, Tech fans. I said that I would do it, and now's the time. The DBU ticket office reached out to me today regarding group tickets for the upcoming baseball series @ DBU. I was quoted a price of $7 per ticket and keeping the seats together in Section 109 which is behind the Tech dugout.

I know that in previous threads people such as @olddog75 , @gtpddEvan , and @ntruppel showed interest in attending. @dchi72 mentioned possibly having a friend within the DBU ticket office also helping. It's time to reach out to others and see how many people we can get to attend these games.

With conference play starting this weekend, Tech is primed to start the season on a high noted at home versus Charlotte. DBU is going to make their CUSA debut this weekend at home versus FIU. All of DBU's losses this season have come against ranked opponents. Tech has a win (almost 2 wins) against a Top 10 opponent. DBU cannot say that.

It's time to reach out to your friends to see who wants to head down to DBU's beautiful campus south of Dallas to watch some top tier CUSA baseball. Game times are currently scheduled for 4/21 at 6:30pm, 4/22 at 2pm, and 4/23 at 1pm. I plan to be there for all 3 games. Who wants to join me?

Armistead is a RHP that has thrown 10 innings. He’s coming back off an injury. Results have been good, not many strikeouts.

Tech can’t let Slade Wilks beat them. He’s got 14 HR. Outside of him, their Golden Eagles lineup has been pedestrian.

While attending a district baseball game tonight, J.J. Pearce (Richardson) at Lake Highlands, I had my La. Tech cap on, and it caught the attention of a player and a fan, both from Pearce.

The player told me that one of the players on the baseball team is being recruited by La. Tech's football program. I found this out on Saturday (04/15), when Lake Highlands played at Pearce. The player is Jewlyen Thomas-Roberts a 6'4"/235-lb. tight end, who plays as a reserve outfielder. What a dude! I recall this guy from last year"s football game, when Lake Highlands played at Pearce, and Thomas-Roberts caught a screen pass and gained 50-60 yards. What a beast! He will be back on the football field in the fall of 2023.

The fan who inquired if I went to Tech, I replied "yes, I graduated in 1980, reside 1.5 miles from Lake Highlands HS, and have followed Lake Highlands' sports since 1993." The fan is the aunt of Thomas-Roberts and pointed me toward his mom. I chose to stay away due to the overflow crowd in the visitor's section. The aunt told me that her nephew has been receiving calls from someone in La. Tech's football program.

Rivals has a 0.0 rating for Thomas-Roberts. He has 14 offers this far, including Austin Peay, Jackson St, Kent St, LTU, ULM, McNeese St, Memphis, Sam Houston St, SMU, Texas Tech, Tulane, UNLV, UTSA, and Utah St. He visited Texas Tech on 03/24/23.

247Sports has Thomas-Roberts as a 3-star with 13 offers; same as Rivals but no mention of Utah St.

The aunt mentioned that her nephew has relatives on the La./Tx. line in the town of Jefferson (TX), west of Shreveport. The aunt added her nephew is all muscle, as you can see, with him in a baseball uniform.

hi Guys, need some honest feedback here. a long time business associate from Ghana has a son who is considering Grambling. i don't know what he intends to study. but i would appreciate any comments from you guys that live in the area on how safe the school is, how good the academics are. and if there are other HBCUs that he might consider that aren't super expensive. This is a long way to go to be away from mom and dad so i would like to help any way i can. Appreciate any comments
