The Cajuns just signed a new deal with Adidas. They are trying to compare deals with other schools on their board. The funny part is that their new deal ends just a year after our current deal. I'm sure they're going to try to top us in 2022.

Their new deal pays them $1.695 million over 3 years (ends in 2022) in cash and merchandise. $565,000 per year.

Tech's current deal with Adidas -signed in 2016 (ends in 2021). The payout is $3.025 million over 5 years - 605,000 per year. The number is buried in this story:

Arkansas State signed a deal with Adidas in 2017 for 7 years (ends in 2024). The payout is $5.25 million guaranteed. The article references $11 million but nobody believes they're getting anything more 5.25. That's $750,000 per year, but it runs for three years past Tech's deal. ASU got more by agreeing to the longer deal.

Going to be interesting to see what we get in 2021. Should go up to at least 750K maybe more depending on what Tech is willing to sign for.

Pretty clear at this point, Tech’s brand is seen as more valuable than Lafayette’s.
