Obviously on paper we are full up with 13 scholarships and yet we are still recruiting for this class.
This is leading to a lot of speculation, which is not necessarily a bad thing. There is a lot more interest in the program than there has ever been, at least in the Internet age.
However I am pretty sure Coach White learned a little math with his Ole Miss education.
This stuff happens to some degree every year and it seems to be more prevalent with the ever increasing number of transfers.
I don't have any direct line to the staff, but I suspect there are several possibilities that may open up
Another scholarship or two.
I have no reason to believe we have any academic casualties on the current roster but that is always a possibility.
I think it is more likely the following.
1. An academic casualty in the incoming class.
2. A transfer by an upperclassman based upon productivity and projected playing time. (Davis)
3. A transfer by a Freshman not named Dayon based upon productivity and projected playing time.(Sheppard)
Again this is all speculation until it shakes out, but I trust Mike to handle it properly.
