Before the season I said that Tech had the best CB duo in C-USA with L’Jarius Sneed and Amik Robertson. I still believe that, both guys had great a year.

As far as the rest of the cornerbacks, they were disappointing. Mike Sam can’t stay healthy, and Zach Hannibal proved that he still has a ways to go.

The secondary allowed 191.6 passing yards per game. They allowed 16 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

2018 Cornerback Stats:

SO Amik Robertson: 61 tackles, 7.5 TFL, 1 sack, 4 interceptions, 12 pass break-ups, 3 QB hurries, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery, 2 blocked kicks

JR L’Jarius Sneed: 59 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1.5 sacks, 3 interceptions, 8 pass break-ups

The secondary earned a 90.3 coverage grade according to Pro Football Focus.

*Amik Robertson allowed the 12th most YAC in the country out of all CBs.

*Amik Robertson was targeted the 20th most in the country out of all CBs.
*Amik Robertson ranked 32nd best in the country in opponents QB rating when targeted.
*Amik Robertson was tied for 4th in the country in interceptions according to PFF.
*L’Jarius Sneed was tied for 13th in the country in interceptions according to PFF.

I believe that Aaron Roberson should have seen more snaps than he did, based on the data provided by PFF. Might Roberson be a candidate to leave? I doubt Trey Spencer will be back next year as well. I wonder if Calhoun will be able to challenge for the 3rd CB role next year. He wants to be good, hard worker.
