Defense with the upper hand in 7-on-7 portion that I saw. DBs all over the WRs. QBs had nowhere to go with football.

Walker threw a short TD to Cualan Williams on a throw across the middle.

Windmon dropped an easy INT on a ball thrown by Cox intended for Smoke. Short out route.

J’Mar fade route TD throw to Hardy over Sneed. Ball thrown where only Hardy could get it. Coverage was solid.

Israel Tucker getting a good bit of run with the 1’s at RB along with Henderson. Tucker is pretty quick.

Elliot TD pass to Powell on a corner route. Beat Jordan Baldwin. Exceptional throw.

Elliot TD throw to Hebert down the seem. Another nice throw. In between Andrews and Cole.

Elliot TD throw to Hebert on a play where he was flushed out. Hebert got behind Jordan Baldwin.

I didn’t see Kam McKnight out there today.

Xavier Lodge looked nice in coverage on a couple of plays. Made a nice play on the ball when one was intended for Smoke.

They worked a 3-man front with Ferguson, Turner, and Bradford. Floyd working as the “4th” guy as a pass rusher that can drop into coverage.

Baker bringing heat from all different directions. Connor Taylor with a sack. He was untouched.

WRs haven’t had their best day. DBs playing extremely physical.

I don’t see Willie Allen today. Mote shifted to LG, Deflin at C.

Ceejay Powell has had a nice day out of the slot. His best day of camp by far.

DL getting consistent pressure, especially with the 2’s. Ydarraga has a sack.

Three-man front with the 2’s is Ydarraga, Mason, and Milton Williams. Garner rotating in as well. Williams has had a nice camp.

CBs playing bump and run on nearly every snap.

Floyd playing as a hybrid DE/LB has me extremely intrigued. He is holding his own at point of attack in run game as well, knows how to set an edge. His best day of camp by far, he’s everywhere.

Both QBs looked pretty even during the team period. Elliot looked better in the 7-on-7 portion.

Jordan Baldwin is getting beat far too much in coverage. He’s being picked on by slot WRs. Elliot is identifying it well pre-snap.

Mason and Floyd converge for a sack on Elliot.

Wren seeing some time in the slot along with Smoke. They are the only two freshmen I saw in there with the 1’s or 2’s. I’m beginning to think Wren is more of a TE type.

Walk-on RB, Jordan Myles, from Benton, got some snaps for the first time today. He’s small, but he’s got some speed.

Roberson had an INT of Walker on a jump ball.

Connor Taylor will be the emotional leader of the defense. Book it. He plays with so much fire.

Dyer’s ankle looked fine.

Daniel Lewis is really solid in coverage. He doesn’t make any standout plays, he’s just always where he needs to be.

Russey had one bad snap that resulted in a Ferguson sack.

Hannibal is the #4 CB if you ask me. He gets better and better everyday.

Jaiden Cole had his best day in coverage that’s he’s had.

A lot of work in the run game. OL and DL had their moments of good player. Interior seemed to be where OL had most success. A ton of team speed for the defense.

Jacob Adams, walk-on from WM, had a TFL of Henderson in team period.

Trey Baldwin still running with the 3’s, learning the terminology of the defense.

It looks like there is a pretty good understanding of the 1’s and 2’s at this point. I don’t think that’s a surprise looking at the experience of this group.

Overall it looked to be a really solid practice. I would say the defense had the better day.

From a health standpoint, I know I mention a few guys that were out. Nothing seems to be too major, that’s a good thing.

I’ll answer any questions that you all may have.
