Moments ago, the FOX 8 station in New Orleans investigative reporter Lee Zurik began a multi-part series "Pay to Play" outlining the the increased general funds transfer to athletics at the various state colleges in contrast to the overall budget cuts. Basically, any of us who are engaged know the mechanics how this system works. He did take one jab at ULL for the use of auxiliary funds and McNeese for a weird loophole with L.C. casino dollars. We weren't really singled out in any way so far.
However, part two of the story airing tomorrow is some undercover footage of some sort of impropriety at one undisclosed university in what appears to be an admissions office. Freezing the frame at the end of the segment, I can clearly see a paraphernalia item with "LA TECH" on it hanging on a back wall.
Does anyone know anything about this?
