A story that needs to be told from Saturday's trip to Bowling Green, Ky.:

The Louisiana Tech football team charter plane had landed back in Monroe.

It was raining. Pouring rain. It was cold. My cameras were packed away below.

The one picture I wished I could've taken is this one -- Dr. Les Guice, wearing only his adidas sports apparel jacket he wore all day, was standing there at the bottom of the stairs on the tarmac, shaking hands and encouraging EVERY player, coach, staff member, cheerleader . . . even a team photographer . . . as they stepped onto the wet ground at MLU.

It was a disappointing defeat for the Bulldog team. This gesture spoke volumes to me. I wanted to share this with all just to let you know at Louisiana Tech we are solid from top to bottom.

Thank you, Dr. Guice. Your leadership is admired and respected by so many of us.
