On 03/11/20, CUSA recognized Tech golfer, Mac Murphy (JR/Decatur, AL/Hartselle HS), as its recipient of the CUSA Men's Golfer of the Week.
Murphy shot a 5-under par score of 211 in his three rounds (70-72-69) at the Tiger Invitational in Opelika, AL over the weekend.
His score earned him a tie for third place. His three-day score placed him ahead of three nationally ranked golfers, including #33 from Auburn, #57 from ULM, and #71 from Auburn.
Murphy's score was one of 14 under-par performances among a field of 102 golfers.
Tech's performance, a tie for ninth place out of 20 teams over the weekend, moved the Dogs up from 133 to 119 in the national rankings out of 293 teams.
