Skip Holtz was hired in 2013. When hired, he said that the goal for him was to develop a consistent program that won year in and year out while competing for conference championships.

Here are the win total of each team in the league since Skip was hired. Charlotte, ODU, UAB, and WKU have not been in the league all 6 years, so keep that in mind. The win totals include this season up to this point.

Marshall: 49
La Tech: 44
MTSU: 41
WKU: 38
UNT: 35
USM: 31
FAU: 29
UTSA: 29
FIU: 28
ODU: 28
Rice: 28
UAB: 23
UTEP: 18
Charlotte: 11

Conference Championship Appearances:

La Tech: 2
Marshall: 2
WKU: 2
FAU: 1
UNT: 1
Rice: 1
Southern Miss: 1

Conference Championships:

WKU: 2
FAU: 1
Marshall: 1
Rice: 1

Louisiana Tech has not won less than 7 games in a full season since 2014. Other CUSA programs that can state the same: None.

I understand that bowl games don’t carry the significance that they once did to most folks, but here is a list of teams in Conference USA that will go to 5 straight bowls like Tech can say they will: None.

The one missing element is the Conference USA Championship, but I ask you, is Skip Holtz fulfilling his promise of building a consistent winner year in and year out while competing for Conference Championships?
