Wallis coached for 7 years at Baylor with Art Briles. He had previously been sanctioned by the NCAA for impermissible contact with recruits while at Baylor and was suspended one game. Wallis then moved on to coach high school football and was the offensive coordinator at Argyle High School (where the allegations occurred) in Texas last year before joining UNT's staff.
