I have to say this. I was not a Tech fan until the tail end of the Lady Techsters run of greatness. So many people have shared on BTB about Mulkey and everything that was going on back then. As I have read the article I don’t understand the negative reaction from Mulkey threading to sue WAPO. The article is honest and shows her as being human. She is a tough woman and has very high expectation. I read this article and it sort of reminded myself of the last dance about Jordan. I’m sure that Mulkey would love the comparison of being like Jordan but it isn’t too far off. She wanted it all. She wanted to be a wife, a mom, a coach, and a champion. She had expectations and her ego and her greatness doesn’t want to be tarnished. She comes off cold in the article and expects loyalty from those that are close to her, the same as MJ. She holds grudges just the same as MJ and yet she is viewed as being a terrible person. Yet we view MJ as the greatest ever and his legacy is never tarnished by fighting teammates, allegations of betting while playing, grudges with Grant, Thomas, and others. After reading this it makes me proud that she was a Techsters and that our greatness comes her grit and the grit of others. It makes me wish that we made more of that again in Ruston.

Watching Khalifa (old Charlotte C) trying to defend for BYU is quite the sight. My gosh that dude is so slow.

My buddy @dnade07 reached out to me in the last couple of days about putting together a March Madness Bracket together for Tech football play. All-Time. He's put together 32 names, and we'll vote on players throughout the next couple of weeks and find out who is the "Best" Louisiana Tech Football player of all-time.

Louisiana Tech will play its first road series of the season at FIU this weekend.

All 3 games will be on ESPN+/SportsTalk 97.7 FM.

Lane Burroughs loves to talk about how talented FIU always is, but I love to talk about all the “names” they like to recruit. Orlando Hernandez’s son is a reliever for them. Joel Pineiro’s son is a starting pitcher for them. AJ Puk’s brother is a starting pitcher for them. They love some good pedigree, I guess.

Offensively, the Panthers have been pretty good hitting .290 and averaging over 7 runs per game.

On the mound, FIU has an era nearing 6. They walk a bunch of guys, and they hit a TON of guys.

Should be a good road test this weekend. Need to win this series.
