I’ve been away from this board for quite a while so this may be a topic that’s already been beaten to death, BUT does Tech have an athletics collective? If so, I’ve never heard of it. Given living in Hattiesburg in a family of USM fans, I know the USM program is pushing their collective hard and credit the collective in keeping Frank Gore Jr. From transferring.

Everyone saw that Smoke Harris caught his 250th career reception yesterday. During the game broadcast one of the Big Ten Network announcers stated that only 80 FBS players have ever caught 250 or more career passes and 5 of the 80 were Louisiana Tech Bulldogs. Is this correct? Very impressive if that is the case.

I saw LSU baseball posted their schedule, and the Bulldogs are back on the schedule this year. It’s 3/19/2024. It’s a Tuesday in mid March between the Mississippi State and Florida series for them.

Louisiana Tech (2-2) and Nebraska (1-2) are scheduled for a 2:30 PM kickoff in Lincoln on Saturday afternoon.

The game will be on The Big Ten Network/KXKZ 107.5 FM.

Jack Turner is expected to make his first career start at QB for the Bulldogs.

Hank Bachmeier did make the trip, but I’m not sure if he’ll dress or not. He hasn’t thrown this week but is expected to resume slinging the rock on Monday.

Charvis Thornton made the trip. Marquis Crosby made the trip. Not sure on Thornton’s status (I’d be shocked if he played), and Crosby will not play.

J’Dan Burnett remains out.

Jacob Barnes is good to go at kicker.

Tech is 0-2 against Nebraska all-time.

Should be 76 degrees at kickoff, maybe a stray shower or two at some point.

Tech is looking for its first road win since 2020.

Ok, now I know for sure we are lost on defense. Please start at the 1:50 mark. This is ridiculous. They schemed Coach Power and went unbalanced(Tackle, Guard on left side & Guard, Tackle, Tackle, TE on Right side) all the way down the field to start the 3rd QTR--SMDH. We call strength to the field or to the left side and are outnumbered on the strong side. We made zero adjustments!!! We NEVER adjusted to the "Option" and we NEVER adjusted to the Unbalanced I Formation. This Nebraska team was bad BUT they knew just enough to beat us. WHY didn't we slide our front to the Strong side???

If you know football at all, you will know how we lined up was unsound as 2 left shoes.
